Recirclable provides eco-conscious consumers and restaurants the opportunity to reduce waste by offering reusable containers for takeout as an alternative to single use containers. Check out our participating restaurants, and recommend us to your favorite spots!
By offering this service, we hope to help shift habits and mindset from recyclable to Recirclable!
Participating restaurants offer a Recirclable logo and QR code to indicate their participation in the program. Scan to open our web-based app - no app download required!
For your first scan, you will be asked to create an account (it's quick and free!). We collect your payment details but only charge if you don't return containers.
Let the restaurant know you want your meal in Recirclable bowls. Confirm the number of bowls borrowed when you checkout your order.
Remember to return any borrowed bowls within 14 days to avoid purchase fees and keep the bowls circulating in your community. Saving the planet is that simple!
Support local restaurants while they support the planet! Order takeout and request Recirclable's reusable containers at participating restaurants shown below.
Recirclable is building up a community of restaurants around the Boston area, starting west of Boston (in and around Arlington).
We aim to quickly expand to other communities, so if you have a favorite restaurant that isn't yet using reusable containers, please let us know! Help us shift habits and mindset from recyclable to Recirclable!
Shifting the mindset from recyclable to Recirclable!
We're on a mission to provide eco-conscious consumers and restaurants the opportunity to reduce waste by offering reusable containers for takeout as an alternative to single use containers.
The seed was planted in our minds for a long time, having lived in Europe and experienced the impact of several emerging reusable programs there. The pandemic made the necessity in our communities even more apparent: as we supported our local businesses, our cupboards filled with plastic containers, many of which are not recyclable. We also learned that compostables aren't the solution, as they can have greater environmental impacts than single use alternatives. We wanted to support our local businesses, but without the environmental cost due to waste.
And so, Recirclable was born!
